Low Tide Co. was born on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Hell, it was born in our backyard.
It’s a place shaped by water and weather. Shrimp boats and barrier islands. Bayous and back roads. Hurricanes, seafood, shipyards, boat ramps, old buildings, family stories, and people who have been here long enough to know the tide always has something to say.
This place isn’t just where we’re from.
It’s how we live and how we see the world.
Low Tide started with a hat and an idea, but somewhere along the way we realized there was a much bigger story sitting underneath it.
The Gulf Coast we know today didn’t just happen.
History created the culture.
The culture created the lifestyle.
And the lifestyle is Low Tide.
That’s what we want to celebrate, preserve, and share.
The people who worked these waters. The places that disappeared. The traditions that stuck around. The stories everybody down here seems to know and the ones almost nobody remembers anymore.
Some of them are important. Some are ridiculous. Most are a little bit of both.
That’s Low Tide Co.
Live Low Tide
Live Low Tide means living the coastal lifestyle for what it really is — the water, the weather, the people, the places, the stories, the traditions, the good times, the hard times, and all the weird little pieces in between.
It’s about paying attention to the things that make life down here what it is, and carrying a little of that with you wherever you go.
Live Low Tide is also our show—another place for us to tell stories, have conversations, laugh at ourselves, occasionally talk about something serious, and see what turns up when we start digging around.
Broadly opinionated. Narrowly qualified.
That feels about right.
Made Down Here
Low Tide is unapologetically Gulf Coast.
Shrimp boats. Marsh grass. Barrier islands. Crab traps. Bayous. Boat ramps. American flags. Gas stations. Back porches. Sun-faded hats. Questionable decisions near perfectly good bodies of water.
It’s not the polished version of coastal life.
It’s our life.
That’s what we want the things we make to feel like too: familiar, useful, a little weathered around the edges, and never too serious.
We’re not trying to manufacture a coastal lifestyle. We’re making stuff about the one we already have.
More Than Merch
Low Tide is supposed to be fun.
But we also believe a business can sell cool stuff, tell good stories, have a hell of a time doing it, and still leave something better than it found it.
Mental health matters to us. As Low Tide grows, part of what we build will continue supporting organizations and efforts that help people when their own tide is out.
We’re not interested in turning that into a marketing campaign or pretending a shirt or hat fixes anything.
We just want doing some good to be part of how this company operates.
That’s the plan.
Born on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Built to tell its stories.
Live Low Tide.
